Do I need pageant experience? Absolutely Not! In the past contestants have won the Mrs. Idaho America title on their first attempt and other contestants compete several times before winning the title. Does my age or height affect if I will win? Not at all! Mrs. Idaho America contestants have ranged in age from 19-62 and have varied in heights from 4’8” to 6’3”.
Can I win the pageant if I have been married before? Yes. There have been former Mrs. Idaho's who have been married before. Entrant must be married as of the date of entry, at least 18 years of age, be a person of good moral character and be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of the state she lives in for at least six months.
I do not have any children, are having children a requirement? No. We encourage women with and without children to participate. Former Mrs. Idaho America and Mrs. America winners have won their titles and do not have children.
Do I have to have a platform to run for Mrs. Idaho America? A platform is something you do for someone or group that you are passionate about. You do not have to have a platform to participate in the Mrs. Idaho America Pageant. However, it is always nice to provide service in your community. At the state pageant we will be giving an award for Volunteer/Community Service. This is an optional award and will not affect the outcome of the pageant. Many former local and state title holders have promoted their personal platform while holding their titles. We asked that if you decide to take on a platform that the platform is something you can include your family in, as we believe your marriage and your family should come first.
Do I have to have a college education to become Mrs. Idaho America? No you do not have to have a college education to become Mrs. Idaho America or Mrs. America. The judges are instructed to not determine the winner based on her educational background. Winners have ranged from having a high school diploma to a PHD.
